They are much better than the cotton panty made by the same company. I needed something for protection while running. These aren't terrific for long intense exercise sessions because the panty isn't made of "technical wear" fabric, so I wouldn't run a marathon in them. However, they are adequate for an hour's run or an hour in the gym and it is far more comfortable to exercise wearing these than while wearing a pad.
